Oh hi there,
This may be my final blog, I'm not sure if I will have a final final blog about the PDD ( post Disney depression )
We arrived in NYC on Thursday, obviously slept the full 5 hour flight because we had had no sleep after the whole money debacle, once we arrived we then had an absolute mission to he baggage pick up, then once we got there it was the smallest carousel with about 4 flights on, and we had to wait ages despite it taking about 30+mins to walk there in the first place. Anyway we got all of our luggage, I then located the luggage storage and left my suitcase on JFK so I didn't have to lug it around, the best $40 I have spent!
Emily then worked out how to get from the airport to our hotel, which was the AirTran then one subway for 40 mins. We then had to walk about 5 blocks to our hotel which once ER got there was very nice. Had a nice view of the roof top pool and the skyline. We were in between central park and times square.
That night we had quick showers to freshen up then headed out on the hunt for NY pizza and times square, both of which we found. Times square is an amazing place, so busy and bright. There was a cool thing that filmed the crowds and put it up on the wall so we have officially been on a billboard in times square. Then you tweeted and it showed mine and Kirsty's tweets, we have officially made it!
That night we decided we would buy a bus tour trip, not something I have ever done but it was worth the money, we blagged our way to getting a free day so it wasn't bad value and meant we didn't have to think about navigating the subway. So we then did our first trip, the night time tour which was really pretty, it took us over the bridge and we saw the full skyline in the dark which just looked beautiful. By the time the tour had finished we were more than ready for bed. We had decided we would have an early night so we could make the most of the day.
We started with one tour, went via all the famous landmarks, including he new world trade centre, which is already the tallest building and it's only half built. Being there really put into perspective how devastating that event was.
We then went on to do our boat tour which also gave some amazing views and we got a good look at the statue of liberty. We decided not to go to the statue of liberty. I feel will be back ad do it again properly at some point.
After that we went on another tour, basically saw everything there was to see. Then went to 5th ave to check out if the Abercrombie guy was fit enough to be the 5th ave store front guy, and e was NOT! Disappointing to say the least.
So that evening was a bit of a melt down, we had decided that Emily would go to the US open tennis and we would go to the shore, however it being labour day weekend, all hotels were booked and expensive and just getting there seemed to be impossible, America really need to sort their public transport out. So we spent a lot of time googling, and concluded in that we were homeless for the next night. Which sucked. We asked our hotel, we googled all hotels in surrounding areas, it appears everyone goes to NYC for labour day! However we were telling this to the young tour guide and he offered to take us on a night out haha. Anyway I digress, so we ended up messaging Chris ( Alex's friend from SUNY New Paltz) who had offered to out me and 1 friend up in his tiny apartment, so we basically begged him and he said yes, so the next day we left our luggage in the hotel, Emily went to tennis, we wandered around upper east side, chilled in central park and had a nice meal then re grouped in times square. Emily was very happy, she enjoyed the tennis, Murry won and she got her flag signed. We went to get our bags, Chris wasnt finished work until 11:30 so it was a long day then we had to walk about 10 blocks with all our luggage because the stupid taxis didnt understand the concept of putting in two people and 4 bags and the other two walking! So that was not an enjoyable walk. But we got there and Chris was like OMG this will never fit! We dragged all our stuff up all the 4 flights of stairs ( where's your Mexican maid when you need her ) it actually all fit in just nicely. Three of us slept on the pull out bed and emily slept on the chair.
So that morning Emily got up early to go present shopping, where as we had previously been shopping in the labour day sales, buying more stuff we didn't need! Whilst we arranged with Chris how to get theatre tickets and then meeting up with him after. So on our way to get tickets we saw Emily and said goodbyes, she went off and got all her flights and got to work on time. We successfully got Bring It On the musical tickets, so then went for brunch on a cool street that Chris had reccomended, then went to bring it on, which was so so good! We all absolutely loved it! It was like a cross between Legally Blonde the musical and Step up ( the dance films) it was so funny as well. I will be going to see it again when it goes to west end.
After that we met Chris at the Mary Poppins stage door because that's where he works as a dresser and he took us back stage and stuff, it was soooo cool! I have officially been on a west end stage.
After that we took us to a really cool mexican restaurant that wasn't real Mexican food but it was a decent price for frozen margaritas and the food was good so we bought Chris his as a thank you for having us!
We then went to a bar where it's $10 for a manicure and cocktail so we all got one, it was such a cool bar, had all the old hair dryers and like everything else in NYC it was just too cool.
We then went for a walk around union square, Chelsea, and then around the NYU area, it was so nice, lots of cool people and cool eateries and cool buildings, basically it was really cool! So a really nice night, being with a local that knew the not al touristy spots.
FYI we did not get drunk in NYC, that is a first!!
Today we just got up, got ready, got a taxi to the train station, got the train, got the AirTran, checked in, they let Kirsty off her 5 kg over weight, had lunch, said goodbye to Nicola and now we are waiting to board.
I'm not too sure how I feel right now, if I had been leaving straight from Disney I'm sure I would be a state, however this travelling has been an amazing end to an incredible summer so it's kind of popped the Disney bubble and I'm excited about going home.

Vegas part 2
Oh hi there,
So from where I left off, we stuffed our faces at the buffet which was amazing, stocked up on fresh fruit and veg which was a nice change from all the greasy American stuff. We all felt soooo full after it was not good. However Nicola, Emily, shawana and myself went out that night. Kirsty couldn't handle another night. We went to LAX and Cathouse inside the Luxor, it was free drinks until midnight, the after that we found some rich guys from Dubai to sit at their table and drink their absolute vodka! Obviously we don't buy out own drinks!
The next day we went out and about on the strip again, followed by buying tickets for two evening events.
The first evening event was a personal dream of mine; A DINNER SHOW!! Yes it was in the Excalibur called 'tournament of the kings' it was epic. We eat with our hands, cheered on the knights, it was just funny! For one ticket for 2 shows it was $80, which for what we got wasn't bad! So after that Emily and shawana went to bed and we went for a wander, which resulted in the coyte ugly bar in New York new York! We went in for a casual look around, then Kirsty went to the bar and turned around Nicola and I are on the bar getting free shots from the coyte ugly girl! It was amazing, we danced on the bar all night, sober! The highlight of the night was an old woman, maybe 68 years old gettin up on the bar and shaking her boooootyyy it was amazing. Good for her!
So after that we went back and got a good sleep, woke up totally refreshed and ready for another day! Just chilled by the pool, then got ready because we went to see our second show 'THUNDER DOWN UNDER' which is like male strippers, we had some pre drinks so we were a bit rowdy. Omg it was like the best night of my life, they were all quite hot but too short. It was just like the movie 'magic Mike' it was honestly so good. They were all supposed to be Australian but defs weren't! So after that we all went to cathouse back in Luxor because there were free drinks there, then the rest of the night is a blur! We went back to coyte ugly, danced on the bar, fell over, went and gambled! I had a religious debate with this super Christian guy because he was super Christian and saying he didn't believe in sex before marriage but my point was surely he should not be in Vegas partying and gambling! Then lost everyone, then Emily found me and I was at the bar with like 3 drinks and some random people, obviously I didn't pay for these drinks. I also won $7! Woo! So think we went to bed about 7am. Got up and went to the outlets, which was a short bus ride away. Bought a few bargains then the hangover started to strike. So we all headed back but only Emily and I headed back to have a nap! We then all went to watch the fountains and want out for food.
So once we got back the drama started, so we needed money off shawana but she was avoiding paying, like even though she'd spent $70 shopping she was saying things like well it's not a lot of money, you didn't know I was coming so youd have had to pay it anyway, I stayed at a boys one night so I shouldn't pay that night etc etc etc. it went on alllll night until Nicola and Kirsty marched her to the gas station, where she was getting picked up and was blatantly going to do a runner, and got $60 when she owes $80. Supposedly she will give it to Nicola when she sees her again. But we were all soooo shocked at her behaviour, you just don't stay in a hotel then expect not to pay. So we don't like her anymore! Shocking behaviour.
So at 5 am after no sleep we went to the airport and went to The Big Apple!

Viva las Vegas
Oh hi there,
So we left Mexico, we were two hours delayed but standard nobody told us, there was no announcement about the gate change or anything but anyway we made it! Then we went back in time so it was only about 6:30 when we landed. Got through security / immigration fine, despite one of them asking for another ID from me, I deffo look like my passport. We also didn't get fined for having massive amounts of luggage on the 15 kg limit!!
So we arrived in the hotel, and we're. Checking in and Nicola was like 'do you know that girl?' haha it was Emily running over, so that worked out well. We then basically started drinking, we were supposed to be set up with VIP, free drinks, queue jump however the guy was friends with the Mexican, the Mexican has broken his foot so he wasn't there. So we had to queue for ages and then missed the free drinks so that was annoying but we managed to get boys to buy us many drinks because obviously we don't pay for drinks.
Then Emily was so drunk she was sick , so Kirsty took her back, she nearly was sick in the taxi!! What a clip, but good effort considering she was majorly jet lagged!
So obviously Nicola and I stayed and played, we met a group of cool Australians. We then went into the casino and saw this guy win $4000 on the slot machines he then got a suite but we left! So that was fun, got in at 6am. Got up at 9:30 to get mcdonalads breakfast!! Emily has stayed in bed allllll day, well Kirsty went to a class to learn how to gamble and Emily went but left 3 times to be sick! Whilst Nicola and I went for a stroll up the strip, watched the fountains, died in the heat and spent a fortune in Ross's! And now we are by the pool at the Excalibur because our pool is gettin maintenance done and in about an hour we are going to stuff our faces at a buffet woo!
Shawana flys in tonight so we will be going out again! Wooo!! Xxxx

I'm in Acapulco bitch
Oh hi there,
Well well well what a few days! Let's just start with arriving, we headed into the private gates, then up and down the windy hill until we reach our destination, then the boys dropped us off and went on an alcohol run. We met Mario, the cousin, who's is very sweet but English wasn't as good so a bit shy! We then got changed into or bikinis and hit the pool! Obviously we had a massive snoop around the house, well mansion. It was simply incredible, like nothing I've ever experienced. The infinity pool looked out onto the sea, no other houses were visible. It had a private path down to the rocks. The only thing we decided it was missing was a jacuzzi, which obviously once the boys returned they switch it on and suddenly we had a jacuzzi. Saying that we later found one of the ensuites has a massive jacuzzi bath and Marios room had one on the balcony, obviously.
The house was actually built for Mario and his brothers, so it's just a perfect amazing party house that they only go to, once a year maybe. So that staff and the house are all there all year for maybe one visit a year. What a waste! However Mario said it was my home too and also offered us his private jet. What a life!
So anyway that night we just got really drunk in the pool, I mean we even had one of the staff basically like a bar man. I think alcohol and pools don't mix, everyone had at least one bruises or scratch the next day! Including mario with a deep cut on his finger from tryin to open a glass bottle and kirsty split her lip on the pool floor.Also whilst we were drinking the staff made us burgers, they were just exactly what we needed!
The next day the sun was shining so when we all woke up we sunbathed / recovered, then went into Acapulco for sea food, which was very tasty. Then the boys wanted to watch football so we went off on our own ( for 30 mins, don't think we would have been lowed any more than that) and we went to the beach, it was pleasant! However we got sooo much attention it was a bit scary.
So that night we just chilled and drank at the pool, obviously drinking Moët, the got ready and headed out. There was 7 of is squished in one car, nobody cares about drink driving, so it was hilarious. We went to a really cool club, Mario requested we had security, and angel told Nicola and I to calm our dancing down because we were drawing too much attention and if someone came to steal us with a gun security would back down pretty quick. However we said we weren't drawing the attention maybe it was Mario doing champagne showers with two bottles of Moët! It's okay though because we didn't pay for any drinks. It was funny though, security even followed me to the toilet. It is really a different world! Also Nicola broke her camera so night time photographer is no longer on duty!
Before we went out we were doing shots of tequila that was given to Marios grand father, who by all accounts is a very important man, it was probably the most expensive drink I have ever had, or will ever have. I cannot get over their life! The grand father has met the queen and stuff, it's just crazy. Apparently were invited to the royal wedding but didn't go!
So next day we all woke up at some point and were cooked Mexican breakfast, which was yummy! Then also we were cooked Mexican lunch which was also tasty then we just sunbathed and packed, and then went to a really nice Italian restaurant. So nice way to end the Mexico trip.
It really has been amazing! We had a panic over luggage as its a really low limit on this flight so we all have heavier hand luggage then luggage luggage!
So now we are waiting to get on the plane to Vegas, and the Mexicans have put us in touch with a Mexican who works in Vegas ( for clubs ) so tonight we are going to where prince Harry recently got a bit naughty! Shame he wasn't there still!

More mexico
Oh hi there,
So after our day of scrabble we just chilled in our hotel room, watched the hangover and got excited for las vegas! Not a very eventful night but it was nice all the same.
The next day one of the Mexicans guys picked us up for lunch, we went to the place we had been drinking at the other night, which is in the city centre by the city hall. We had loads of food, it's a good job we are not in Mexico for a long long time or we would be fat! We then went to Angels house and dropped our stuff off, as he wasn't there because he had to go to some award thing. So we got manicures and pedicures, as you do when you're a rich Mexican lady! It was really fun! We then came back and got ready and Diego picked us up and we went for cocktails, where lots of the boys joined us. We then went for tacos, Angels favourite ones in the city, I only had one, didn't want to risk it! By this point angel had returned, so it was nice to see him again.
That brings us to today, we got up, or ready, went to pick his sister up from school, the school is really posh, like the OC one or something! Then we went for a drive around all the houses, omg I've never seen houses like them, they are incredible! Huge huge huge and they all belong to this group of 50 guys, and obviously the cars match!
We then came back to Angels and the maids had cooked lunch, enchiladas and soup, yum it was gooood!
We are going out tonight but not going crazy because we are going to Acapulco tomorrow at 8 am and it's a 5 hour drive. We will be staying in Angels cousins house which is situated on 'millionaires hill' hmmmm quite excited to see this.
The name of the place we are currently in is Chordoba but as I say we are leaving tomorrow.
It's really nice to see the real Mexico, and eat where they eat and do what they do. I just wish I spoke Spanish!!
All accommodation is booked for NYC and Las Vegas Wooo!

Viva la Mexico
Oh hi there,
Now are are in Veracruz, it's really nice. Yesterday we arrived, got dropped off at the hotel, got showered and ready. Got picked up, went to Angels home, met his family and his dogs, they are so cute. His house is amazing, so posh! We then went to antonios bar, which we had heard about but were just expecting like a garden shed type bar, but no this was an actual fully stocked bar, it was about the size of my apartment at home! It had every alcohol type under the sun, proper his and hers toilets, a massive BBQ area, and unlimited coronas because antionios family are the supplier of corona for the whole area, so they get unlimited. We asked why you would have such a bar, the answer was that they have lots of family events. So obviously dinner at a table is not good enough!
We then went out to a bar in the city centre by the city hall, we had mariachis singing, they bought us roses, it was so cute. They are a really nice group, consists of 50 guys, no idea how many we have met! We then went to a club which was cool, they had a band and we had more vodka! It was a cool night. Angel left early because he had to go to this graduation thing so needed to be up early, so Antionio became chief child minder. We got food after - a local delight. It was lovely. However whilst in there these guys were discussing that they were going to beat Antionio up because he was only one guy with us three girls, so he called another guy to join us, which was good, so no trouble.
We woke up today at 11/12 ish then Antionio picked us up, and brought us to his house. Everyone lives really close but nobody walks. Obviously his house is amazing too. We have just chilled and played scrabble, got food, and it's sunny so it's a really nice day
We are not going out out tonight so that's good!

Now are are in Veracruz, it's really nice. Yesterday we arrived, got dropped off at the hotel, got showered and ready. Got picked up, went to Angels home, met his family and his dogs, they are so cute. His house is amazing, so posh! We then went to antonios bar, which we had heard about but were just expecting like a garden shed type bar, but no this was an actual fully stocked bar, it was about the size of my apartment at home! It had every alcohol type under the sun, proper his and hers toilets, a massive BBQ area, and unlimited coronas because antionios family are the supplier of corona for the whole area, so they get unlimited. We asked why you would have such a bar, the answer was that they have lots of family events. So obviously dinner at a table is not good enough!
We then went out to a bar in the city centre by the city hall, we had mariachis singing, they bought us roses, it was so cute. They are a really nice group, consists of 50 guys, no idea how many we have met! We then went to a club which was cool, they had a band and we had more vodka! It was a cool night. Angel left early because he had to go to this graduation thing so needed to be up early, so Antionio became chief child minder. We got food after - a local delight. It was lovely. However whilst in there these guys were discussing that they were going to beat Antionio up because he was only one guy with us three girls, so he called another guy to join us, which was good, so no trouble.
We woke up today at 11/12 ish then Antionio picked us up, and brought us to his house. Everyone lives really close but nobody walks. Obviously his house is amazing too. We have just chilled and played scrabble, got food, and it's sunny so it's a really nice day
We are not going out out tonight so that's good!
No idea what the plan for tomorrow is!

Reflective statement
Oh hi there,
Just wanted to talk a bit about my highs and lows of my summer spent as a Disney Icp participant.
I would love to say I loved every single minute, but there were minutes when a guest would shout at you or you would get told off for not having a top button done up in 100 degree heat or they would make you die your hair because it's not Disney look policy. So those minutes I did not enjoy. But it may sound cheesy, everyone other minute I was so happy!
I have met some truly amazing people who I hope I will see one day again, I have memories that I will never forget. I want to do it all again, I was not ready to leave.
The downside is having a room mate, who for the record never unpacked, not being able to choose who you live with and all the rules on property about not having other people in past 1am, which just seems stupid! Also not having a car is really hard, but if you make friends with someone with a car it's not so bad. I will miss Laura car parties after work with DJ Ginge.
My job was amazing, literally think I had one of the easiest jobs in the whole of Disney, the people were great, the actual job was easy. Parade was fun, just love animal kingdom, it's so chilled compared to other parks.
Of course there are a lot of things I didn't get round to doing but the things I did do made up for it.
I'm sure there's more I need to say but right now I need to sleep, I've not had more than 5 hours sleep for a long time!

Mexico!!!
Oh hi there,
So from saying goodbye to Dario we got in the taxi, got to the airport around 3am, having had no sleep, just chilled for a bit then went to check in, I needed to take some stuff out of one of my bags an put it into the other, it was ridiculous like they are all going to the same place! So we then had a flight to Atlanta, then San Antonio, then Mexico city. Once we got there, we met Angel and Antonio and went for lunch at this amazing restaurant over looking these ruins, two of Kirsty's Mexican girl friends from her previous programme joined us which was lovely for her to reunite after two years!
Mexico city is a crazy place, when you're driving through it's the extremes of poverty and money. The traffic is insane it took us 4 hours to go about 10 miles, that's no exaggeration either. But once we were on the highway the traffic started moving again and we went to Puebla which is where Antonio is at uni so we stayed a night in his flat, which is AMAZING! We then went out, of course. I didn't think it would be that dressy but I wish I'd worn something better but just had a hilarious night, their friends are really nice.

Last week
Oh hi there,
so now I'm officially not employed by Disney I can reflect on my time there.
Firstly I will talk about my last week, I've had such a good time. I went out to cowboys, on the saturday, which was amazing! It was a full on cowboy bar, complete with everyone line dancing, obviously we attempted line dancing but failed, however since then Laura and Kody ( the texans from work) have shown us how so now we know how to dance to my new favourite song 'copper head road' ah it was one of my favourite nights! Then on the Sunday obviously it was House of blues, we partied with the South Americans, Amy and Anna didn't get in for being too drunk, they nearly didn't let Nicola in but we got in and it was obviously an amazing night!
So then it was Monday and we went to falafel lounge with a guy from work and an Italian and it was a funny night, Laura hit a door in my face, I didn't remember until two days later when I was like 'why does my head hurt?' and they started laughing at me.
Tuesday was supposed to be Latin night but we were so tired we decided to wait for Wednesday night which we were supposed to go to blue martinis but then realised its over 21 only and seen as it was my last night we just went to Bdubs and had a good night with everyone, I took my union jack flag out and it was hilarious. Everyone started to sing someone like you to me and I cried in the middle of the dance floor. I think it was the drunkest I've ever been since being here. But it was my last night so I am allowed.
Anyway thats the nights out covered, so my last few days of work:
At work we had a party with loads of food, a reef rave, and a lot of pictures. On my actual last day I got and ER, at 2pm and Amy and Laura came and we got face paint and went on Everest twice, went to see lion king and I cried and timone was like don't cry :( it was so sad. At work I hadn't even arranged any food just people brought me cake! Then after work we went to the rainforest cafe, which was really nice to see everyone out of work. Also one girl who sometimes works at nemo was being friends with Donald in parade and Nemod at us and it was so much fun! Such a special day.
On Wednesday, I Gave my shift away so me Nicola and Laura went to the water parks which was really good, then finished the day with steak n shake, yum! That's when I packed :( so sad.
So Thursday was also a great day. I had breakfast with Corbin from work, cracker barrel, it was good. Then went to hooters with Paulo at lunch, which was fun. Then it was time for graduation. It was all set up outside my apartment. Everyone looked nice dressed up. We got given our ears, met Minnie and mickey, got our certificates, said lots of goodbyes. For some reason I couldn't even cry. Everyone else was and I just couldn't. There were all the flags from around the world, got some really good pictures. I then said another Goodbye to Paulo and the south Americans. Which was super sad!
On the evening after graduation me Nicola and Laura went to Hollywood studios, got to skip the queue to rocking roller coaster, and tower of terror because we were like it's out last day and we were wearing our ears, which we got engraved!then we had VIP seats for Fantasmic, which made me cry and then I had to say goodbye to Laura which was horrible :( as I don't know when I will see her again!
Also had to say goodbye to Amy but that's not as bad as I know I will see her in England!
We decided it was best to just not sleep, seen as we needed to leave at 2:30am, so Nicola stayed at mine and napped, Dario came round and chilled. Then the time came to leave Chatham forever. I wanted to cry, I mean obviously I was excited to go travelling but just not ready to leave.

Recap
Oh hi there,
I don't even know where I left off. Well on my two days off, obviously we went to HOB on Sunday. Obviously it was another amazing night, they didn't let Amy and Anna in because they are underage and were too drunk, but me Laura and Nicola had a really good night. We decided we were not paying for our own drinks, we got a ride there and the bus back, so didn't spend a single cent all night. It was a hilarious night really, not that I remember much of it. So we had decided we would go to DHS for doors opening, so see the opening thing, however, I slept in! So we went about 10am, and did everything, we finally got on the Toy Story Mania ride, which the fast passes go by 11am normally and it always have a 100+ minute queue waiting time, I would love to say I loved it and if I had waited 100+ minutes I would feel satisfied, but that would be a lie, it was good but not great. After that we went to Downtown Disney for a bit of a wander around, it was raining but we still went. Bought Disney braclets with ICP '12 on, so we can remember forever, cheesy but hey we are in Disney.
On Tuesday Nicola had work early so I went to Art of Animation to see her, chilled by the pool which is Nemo themed, even had the songs from the show playing, I just cant escape it! Then we got some food there, that was really nice and headed to MK.
As we were walking into MK this man gave us fast passes for Space Mountain, so obviously we did that and got another fast pass. We then watched the 3pm parade which is the first time ive seen all the princesses, there was no rain everything went smoothly, it was lovely. We went on a few rides, met up with a guy from Nemo (backstage, not like us, sound tech or something) then Laura joined us, Nicola went home, we headed to Epcot, went to Mexico to see my Mexican friend, ran round to UK to see my UK friends, watched the fireworks, it was a good day. After I went back to the Commons with the Mexicans, and they cooked me proper Mexican food, it was so good! Came home about 2:30, had work the next day.
Last night, me, Nicola and Shawana went out Downtown Orlando, went to Chillers, it was really good. Met the most horrible man ever, he was just rude, I told him I wanted to literally punch him in the face, but its not worth my visa!! Some people. So today I had work, with 3 hours sleep. We all slept at Nicolas, to make sure I got up and because her rooms mates away so we used Hannahs mattress and had a slumber party.
Today I got an ER for 3pm, ive never left so early, it was amazing. I didnt get back until 4:15 ish, then skyped then tried to book all my extra luggage, but some I have to buy at the airport and some 24 hours previous to flying, so I should have just gone to the pool for some sunshine and a nap.
I have absolutly no food in at the moment, but I just dont see the point in spending loads of money for less than a week!
Tonight I am going to Marshals WOOOOOO xxx

Last schedule
Oh hi there,
Let's catch up, so everyone left, on Hannah's last night we went to MK an had a meal, watched the electrical parade, watched the memories thing and then wishes, I nearly cried, really nearly cried. There were loads of CPs and ICPs with their graduation ears on. It was sad.
So the following morning I went and said goodbye to Hannah, then went to work, the bus was 30 mins late, so literally sprinted to work, clocked in at 10:45 and 30 seconds, so made it!! Woohoo!
That night we had heard rumours there was a pool party at the commons, which is just up the road. So after work Laura took us to buy alcohol, four lokos, they are banned in a lot of states. They are a pre mixed alcoholic drink. I had two and I was a mess. So we invited these guys who are professional interns, so basically like going out with our managers at nemo, they were not professional lol. So we got to the commons not expecting much and it was amazing! Like loads of people, music, everyone just in the pool. It was maybe one of my favourite nights here yet. I want to live in the commons forever. It was nt an official Disney housing event, I har no idea who made it. But it was amazing. The hangover wasn't so great at work though.
Today I got my last schedule, I have Monday Tuesday off then I'm in until the day before I go and I'm even scheduled the day I leave, I'm leaving USA at 6am. And I have the Saturday off, makes no sense it's like they have forgotten i am leaving. I need to talk to a manager today. So kind of gutted because we get out free entry back for the water parks on the 11th! Looks like I won't get to go!

Today was awesome.
Oh hi there,
Today was awesome, but also horrible. It was awesome because we had a potluck and had loads of cake, like loads! So much cake, it was all so nice, and an amazing stew thing, so much food, I loved it.
However it wasn't awesome because the reason we had all the cake was because everyone was leaving, so Madaline, Stephanie, Lauren, Taylor and Nika all left :( so so sad saying goodbye, just horrible! So after work Madeline and I went to go on Everest, and because Laurens bf works there we skipped the queue and went on the front row, it was sick!!!! Then we went on Dinosaur and there was no queue, then as we were leaving backstage we saw Goofy and Pluto and asked for a photo which was amazing. I mean I look like an idiot as I didn't have a change of clothes, so had to buy a new top, as you cant be in the park in costume, so I had my shorts and boots on and an DAK top, which I love!
Also today someone told me I would be a great Cinderella, and also got called hot, it must be the tan from the beach.
There was a lot of angry guests today, must be a full moon or something.
We also had a Reef Rave, which is where we turn all the lights off in our break room and use the flash lights and torches for guiding and dance around like idiots, its class.
Such a nice day, but also so sad. :(

Bloody hell it's august!!
Oh hi there,
So I've hit ultra depression stage as its August and I will be leaving in 16 days basically. I don't want to go. I'm just having so much fun!
This week has gone in a blur, works been fun, we have had Reef Raves, where we turn all the lights off in our break room and use the flash lights and the red guiding lights and just basically having a rave! It's sick.
This week, was going to go out Thursday night, well firstly I went and met James and Dario at Hollywood Studios, then we went downtown and ate at planet Hollywood, the food was average but it was fun, there was an hour queue but because we are cast members they found us a table straight away.
Then Amy and I were planning on going out, got on the party bus, got to vista, decided we were too tired and got off and came home. Good choice l.
Can't even remember what I did Friday night, maybe cicis pizza, as Nicola and I went to Dollar tree to buy decorations for Hannah's surprise leaving party. We went with a tiki theme.
Saturday we went to roxy, it was fun, Amy and I defs danced on podiums and got filmed, god knows where that footage is. But it was a fun night, maybe got to bed around 5 and had work on Sunday, not enjoyable. But I survived.
So Sunday night, we decorated Hannah's flat for when she came in from work, I made vodka jelly, then loads of people came around, and it was so so fun. Went to HOB and standard it was amazing. Such a good night.
On Sunday I was tempted to not go to the beach but I'm so glad I did. Laura from work drove amy and I to cocoa beach, the weather was perfect, we say next to this group with huge speakers, it was so good. Got my tan on, finally! Then we went to a waffle house because it's a Texan thing and Laura is from Texas, then we came home and I went round to James's apartment to make fajitas for them, and I needed to do laundry and they have it in their apartments for free so two birds and one stones all that jaz. I now have clean underwear.
I'm currently sitting waiting for the bus just feeling sad because it's madelines last day :( from now every week someone's leaving then I leave. Argh. I want to do the cultural representative programme, for the year, live in the commons, work in the uk and party like there's no tomorrow, however I do need to get home and get back in te real world. So not looking forward to going back to uni.

3 weeks left
Oh hi there,
Cannot believe that I only have 3 weeks left. I don't want to go. So since the last update, we went out on Sunday night, it was really good, we had a flat party at Hannah and nicolas and then went to HOB. Pretty standard behaviour, I dyed my hair blonde so because of that I got super drunk. It was such a good night, got a taxi with Nicola and some random Irish guys hat were heading our way, obviously we stopped the taxi and made then do an Irish jig.
Because I was off, it rained so I got a bit of sunbathing in but also defs went to cicis pizza, unlimited pizza for $4! Amazing. Also booked our flights for traveling after. So that's going to be amazing.
Went to see batman at the amc cinema, with food. So our food never arrived, so we got free starters then when I did arrive it was the wrong order so we kept all the wrong food and when we got the right food he didn't charge us anything.
Two more day of work, and today then I'm off Yey!xx

Standard behaviour
Oh hi there,
Not much new to report. Work is still good, hot but good. Guests are still stupid! Really, how hard is it to stand behind a white line at parade? Apparently very.
Went out on Thursday with Amy, I was tired but it was either go out or laundry. So we went out. Amy had met a group of south American guys so we made them go out with us, they have only been here 2 days, so we initiated them to the ways of the party bus. It was a hilarious night. And it was nice to be with some cool guys in Chatham, I think we will now have a new party flat.
So work was fun yesterday, spent the whole day laughing about the night before. Everyone now thinks I'm constantly hungover, which is only half true.
Last night me, Amy, madaline, Bryan and Danny went out for pizza. But it was no ordinary pizza it was a stuffed Chicago pizza. It was crazy!! It looked more like a pie, it was huge. Probs the best pizza I've ever had. So so so filling though, I still have a slice in my fridge, not sure I want it. Maybe drunk Abi will.
Then Amy and I just chilled at the pool, whilst I did my laundry, Yey clean underwear, I was running low. It was so nice to just chill at the pool, it had been such a sweaty day.
One more day of work then off tomorrow, hopefully I'm giving away my Tuesday shift, so I will have two days off, fingers crossed its approved. Xxx
Not much new to report. Work is still good, hot but good. Guests are still stupid! Really, how hard is it to stand behind a white line at parade? Apparently very.
Went out on Thursday with Amy, I was tired but it was either go out or laundry. So we went out. Amy had met a group of south American guys so we made them go out with us, they have only been here 2 days, so we initiated them to the ways of the party bus. It was a hilarious night. And it was nice to be with some cool guys in Chatham, I think we will now have a new party flat.
So work was fun yesterday, spent the whole day laughing about the night before. Everyone now thinks I'm constantly hungover, which is only half true.

Mexican wolf pack
Oh hi there,
So I have found myself in the same boat that I was in when I was travelling in 2009, where I'm making friendships in a super fast forward speed. Like my new Mexican friends. So I think I spoke about last Friday when we went to Vain which is a club at down town Orlando. So the day after they picked me up, and I had vowed I wouldn't drink on Saturday night however there was a new Mexican added into the equation and seen as it was his welcome night I got talked around and ended up going to Roxy, downtown Orlando. So 2 bottles of absolute vodka and a bottle of Moët later I was dancing on tables with Amy, and partying with the Mexicans. Such a good night. Let's just talk about the Mexicans, they are the nicest guys ever, I have never met any men with better manners. So lovely. So Sunday we went to MK with Nicola, she had work at 3 so we dropped her off, well before that we got to the car and Angel realised he didn't have the keys, so had to call dan, he had to run out the park ( he knows his way as he did the programme in 2010) but she got to work on time. So we did some stuff in MK, Antonio even went on space mountain though he was literally terrified, I have never laughed so much in a roller coaster, I was crying he was soooo funny. Then we decided to just start drinking for HOB. They all came back to mine to get ready, showere at the pool though, and we had a flat party, it was fun there was maybe like 30 people. Lots of different languages going on. Nicola got an early release so made it out. So it was such a goood night, probably the most drunk I've been since being here, don't really remember being in HOB but I know it was good. After HOB Nicola and I decided to go back to their apartment, so we went via Chatham to get out stuff then we Nicola decided she better not had as she had work the next day. But I still went and it was really fun., not much sleep but it was fun. So the next day we were all pretty hungover and we decided to go to the mall. Well by this point dan was supposed to be getting a bus to Miami, but decided to stay another night, legend. So they dropped me off at Chatham so I could clear up from the party and get ready, they did a round trip to the bus stop to sort his ticket out. And then came to pick me up. By this point Id invited Amy, so all 6 of us squished in the car and went to the mall. The mellenia mall, it was sooo nice. Could have gone mad if I'd had the money. But got essentials like makeup and havs. The Mexicans went mental, bought so much stuff!
Also my flatmate Che works at the Polynesian restaurant called Ohana which everyone says you must go to, as it has a view of the fireworks and it's amazing food. Well it's fully booked until Christmas! But she got us a table. So we met Kirsty there and had food, had the best table in the house. It was just lovely. The food wasn't as good as animal kingdom lodge though. But the way it's done is cool, they just bring seekers with chicken, shrimp, beef and pork and they just keep serving you them and then you have salad and noodle as well. It was so fun. Me, Alex and Amy joined in the hula dancing, which was hilarious.
We then just chilled in the hammocks on the beach for a couple of hours before heading back. I stayed at theirs again and we basically stayed up until angel had to take dan to the bus stop at 4 am. Soooo tiring, but glad we did. So it was REALLY sad saying bye to him because it was like the start of all of them leaving. :(
Once he'd gone the boys took me back to Chatham after a bit of sleep, as I wanted to go to Xmas in July, oh I also got them into Epcot. Xmas in July was okay, I got some free pizza and a couple of pics, bumped into some people I'd be talking to drunkenly on the party bus, always awkward. Erm then I went to work, with a horrible sad feeling. Wanted to cry.
All day I begged for an wary release as I finished at 8:15 and dinner ws at 8:30 in Japan in Epcot! I didn't get it, which made me angry, I never ask for much, I'm always on time. There's no point in 2 people closing the theatre, argh anyway I didn't get it. So I sprinted to get changed, ran to the bus stop, the bus was full, had to wait 20 minutes for the next one. Ran around the world to Japan and made it there for 9, sweating like a pig!! But they still had a great table and hadn't ordered and we watched the fireworks. It was really nice food. Afterwards we walked around the world, blagged our way onto the Mexican ride, as it was extra magic hours which we don't have, then played in England. Taking lots of pictures. Then they took me home. Oh how I already miss that car with crazy spanish music playing!!
The next morning we went to downtown Disney for breakfast which was nice, then they brought me to work and we had to say our goodbye. It was so so sad. They are legends, such nice and funny guys. :( but I am going to go to Mexico, the flights are cheap so I don't really have an excuse, it will be crazy!! Just need to find the time to look at flights as all I'm doing is working. I have 11 days with only one day off, what the F!?! I need time, I need to get drunk, sunbathe, do laundry and buy food!
Think I may go out tonight, may not, it's either night out or laundry so will see who's up for it! I'm bloody knackered still from the last week only having like 4 hours sleep a night. But it was worth it.
Cannot believe I only have 4 weeks left of work! Crazzzzyyyy. Gone so fast! Some things I won't miss, like this morning my room mate breaking the toilet which 4 of us share, not doing anything about it and just leaving. Argh!! Annoying. And the hard work, won't miss that either. I shouldn't complain though, my job is easy compared to some!

Update
Oh hi there,
So I have not blogged since Tuesday, basically I was just working, nothing huge. Apparently Miami was good, I will get there, hopefully!
Then Angel arrived on Wednesday, soooo good to see him, so went and met him on the evening, well he picked me up, so good to be with someone with a car. Hes with two friends, who are also lovely. We went to Buffalo Wild Wings (first time I went out in flat shoes) and got some drinks, its like a hooters type bar, then later on turns into this massive night filled with CPs, so that was really good. I had a 9 hour shift the next day. Not good. Also met a new favourite taxi driver. Legend, took me home for real cheap, was slightly concerned I was own my own and who would know if I disappeared?
So struggled through work the next day, got Angel and co into DAK for the day, then after they waited for me and we went to Animal Kingdom Lodge for dinner, it was an African buffet, omg it was amazing! Like salmon, steak, pork, chicken, and loads of nice salads and hummus, YUM! Of course I was still hungover so it was even better. We sat around the camp fire for a bit after, very nice.
I came home and grocery bingo was happening at Chatham, so Hannah and I went there, it was really fun actually, didn't win anything, but did get my ID scanned so it classes as a 'cultural event' for that stupid visa thing! There was loads of people there and it was just quite fun.
Had another 9 hour day the next day, then went out on the party bus last night, which was really good, went to downtown Orlando, got very drunk, drunker than I had intended, considering I had to be up at 8 today for work. I powered through work today, it was not enjoyable!
Not sure of plans for my two days off. One day next week theres a housing event of CHRISTMAS IN JULY! Obviously I'm super excited for this, it starts at 11 and I'm not in work until 12:45 or something so I can quickly get there!! Woo.
Will update more soon, when I have a spare minute, which is never really, I will find time! Off out now to a bar for food and stuff.

Another 2 days of freedom
Oh hi there,
Once again I find myself blogging at the bus stop, mainly because it's the only place I ever have any time to write because I'm always early.
Let's have a round up of what I've done, I finished work on Saturday night at 6:15, met Jess and spent the last couple of hours playing in animal kingdom, did Everest and the rapids. Got soaked, was wearing a white T so it was like a wet t shirt competition! Also demin shorts which did not dry. So once Hannah had finished work we went to downtown Disney, to go to the cinema, to see Magic Mike. It was a 11:30 showing ( it's a 24 hour cinema ) so we had a wander around, got a snack, all very pleasant. I had been very tempted to go out on Saturday however magic mike was worth forgoing a night out. Wow it was just hours of six packs, so amazing!
Also my plans for the poly and food got cancelled as amy got sunstroke and was too ill!
I spent sunday sunbathing, which was nice, probably the most time I'd spent in the sun since being here. I'm still not that tanned! Then I spent the evening doing fun things like food shopping and laundry, essential things but boring. Needed an early night as had an early start planned.
Monday - got up at 6am, met Nicola at 7ish, went to Universal Studios! It did not disappoint. It was strange being in a park and not getting discounts, it was also strange being there from open to close! Within 45 minutes of being in the park we had done The hulk, spiderman, water ride, Jurassic park. Impressive, considering I was thinking we wouldn't get everything done. We then went to the wizarding world of Harry potter, the busiest section of both parks. I don't know why they didn't make everything bigger when they built it in the first place. Walked on the main ride single riders, later went on again and queued, well we didn't it just moved all the time, amazing. We also got everything done at universal, including some shows. Nicola wanted me to audition for fear factor live, maybe if I go back I will..
We stayed and watched the cinematic spectacular or whatever it's called, which was water and fireworks celebrating 100 years of universal, nice. Then we decides since we had spent so much money already, why not spend more and eat at hard rock cafe, so worth it, the local legend burger was insane!! So an amazing but tiring day!
We were talking to an english girl who works at universal, she said it was good but no bus system so you had to ride 40 minutes to work! No thanks! Not in this heat with these hours of work!!
I've just finished work now, had to close on my own, which sucked, as loads of people called in, funny that how theres a Miami trip today. I'm just jealous, I wish I was there. But hey hi, angel is coming tomorrow, which will be nice.
Sometimes when I am sad ( which isn't often) when I go outside and it's bright sunshine I cheer up :) its nice going to work in shorts and short sleeved shirts!!

Something I forgot to mention
Oh hi there,
So I forgot to mention that the other day at work, whilst I was outside doing stroller (don't shout buggy, people look at your in a strange way) parking, a male cast member came to introduce himself, and he was all 'I haven't met you yet Abigail, happy 4th of July' turns out, hes the Vice President of Animal Kingdom. I thought that was pretty cool. He also totally saw me with my hands in pockets. Oh well.
So what else is new... I have been at work, I have done some 10 hour days. I have decided people just loose their minds as soon as they enter a park. They will be standing infront of the show times, with their show times guide in their hand, and still ask 'What time Nemo?' Normally is some sort of strange language. For Nemo the last show is at 6pm, people come over to you at 8pm (when the park closes) and try and get in. It's like REALLY?? Clearly we are closed!!
I have one more day, 10:15 - 6:15, I don't have parade, which I'm sad about because it means no break from Nemo and you have to work the 3pm show, which is always the busiest as theres no 2pm show.
Then plan is, tomorrow after work, Amy and I will wait for Hannah then we will go to the cinema. Then Sunday go back to the Polynesian and try and eat there, lets hope for a cancellation as its booked until October! Monday, Nicola and I are hoping to go to Universal, we are just debating it, if not then Florida Mall or something fun.
Theres just not enough hours in my days off.
I went to the outlets after work tonight, but still so busy because of the 4th and because we are regulars we noticed that the sales were all just the same, just more signs promoting them. So still haven't really don't any shopping!
I need to research Universal tickets!

4th of July update
Oh hi there,
Yesterday was a funny day, after it being so busy traffic wise, just assumed everywhere would be busy, but DAK was not. We had around 23K in the park, which is quite low. Then it rained so I think it got even less. People must have gone elsewhere to see fireworks and stuff.
So I was on a close, just doing nothing until 8:15, then Amy and I met Hannah and Nicola, then went to Epcot to meet the girls from work. Who had gone in for the American look big time. We had little flags and tattoos, it was quite fun. Epcot was busy! We could see bits of the Hollywood Studios fireworks, then Celebrations of Earth (the normal fireworks) came on, then after the American celebration, wow it was amazing!!! Probably the best fireworks I've ever seen, but what else would you expect.
I was expecting more Americans to be dressed up, and the national anthem to be played, but there wasn't as much patriotism as I predicted.
Coming back was another story all together, so the bus queue for the CPs was HUGE! We were queueing as us Brits do and we watched this guy and his friends try and push in, well by this point, me and Hannah have been at work all day, its 11pm and we are just not having this.
So Nicola was like 'Excuse me, you are not pushing in front, theres a massive queue' and this guy was like, 'Im with them' pointing at these girls who had been trying to push in the whole time, and the other guy was like 'I was smoking' - as if we'd be like 'oh okay, thats fine if you were smoking'. So we were just not having it, and then they were all like 'we are all cast members, we should all be happy etc' we were like yes we all are, but we have manners. They were like 'You should learn some manners' urgh how rude. So they sarcastically let us in front of them, to try and make a point, but the point was WE WERE RIGHT! We had already waited for 3 buses to fill up and leave, we were not not getting on another one. Turns out they also got on our bus, but that wasn't the point. Then standard ultra gay guy when we were getting off was like 'have a great night girls' we were like 'THANKS YOU TOO'. Idiots.
Today I'm doing a close again, then I might go shopping before the 4th of July sales end. Im looking forward to Angel coming next week, though I think I'm going to be working 6 out of 7 days hes here. Ive tried to give away or swap shifts, thats the rubbish thing about Nemo, theres not that many staff, so if you're trying to ditch a shift, its more difficult. I am also doing a lot of closes, so will try and get ER's to go earlier.
Im also starting to look at flights for afterwards. I feel like theres so much to do, and so little time. Need to go to Miami, Universal, a Dinner show, more of the resorts, do the parks more. Argh the list goes on and on!!
I forgot to mention that yesterday at work there was a pot luck so loads of food, really American food! It was sooooo good! Like macaroni cheese, BBQ sausage, apple pie, corn dip, I didn't even know what half of it was! So it was a good day at work!

4th of July!
Oh hi there,
I've just had my two days off, the events are as follows:
End of day 6 work: Decided we were too tired and too hungover to go to HOB so got a pizza and watched a film, which was nice.
Monday: Planned on going to cast connections, however scrapped that plan. Sunbathed in the morning, met Kirsty and Mickey, went to Animal Kingdom Lodge for lunch, which was the best food i've eaten since being here,it was so amazing. We then played in the pool for a bit, which was also fun. We then headed to Animal Kingdom, now you may wonder why I would want to go on my day off back to work, but it was really fun just to be able to do what I want. We had VIP for Nemo, which the show then cancelled as it was broken, but because I'm pretty much a big deal around DAK I got us VIP for Lion King, which was amazing, as always. So we stayed there until closing, doing everything apart from the rapids. I now feel like if I didn't go back before I leave I wouldn't mind, theres not really a lot to do there! I know I will go back though.
Monday evening: Went to Falafel, which was good just to dance, all my roomies were there so it was nice to see them also. I don't think other cultures party like the Brits though!
Tuesday: Sunbathed in the morning, then Nicola joined me, she thought she had left her blue ID card (the one to get into work/parks) at work, so we took a trip to Pop century, which is a Disney budget hotel, wow it was bright!!
We then headed to Saratoga Springs resort which is another where we get 40% off, but lunch wasn't very impressive really, but the pool was lovely so chilled there.
After that, we headed back, I washed my hair and we decided we would go to our mall, then get the buss to the other outlets, after being told it would only take 30mins. So got on it, after 30 mins and only going from stop 44 to stop 39 (we needed to be at stop 1) we gave up, got off, and came back to ours, so wasted over an hour of time, by this point it was 9pm, so we just had a browse of the shops. Big sales on at the moment because of 4th of July.
So now I'm heading into work, until 8:15, then I will meet the girls and I think we will go to the Poly to watch the fireworks. I just think all the parks will be sooo busy and tbh ID doesn't bother me, but obvs the Americans are going wild for it!

Backstage!

Im super tired, so will apologize in advance if this is all spelt wrong and makes no sense! But just quick update. Firstly Im finally off! Woooooo! Yesterday at work, the best coordinator EVER gave us an ER of ten minutes, so we could run for the bus and OMG we RAN!!! Otherwise we would have had to wait half an hour and I was going out so I wanted to be back asap.
Went on the party busm downtown Orlando, to Vain. It was good, we partied on a roof top, Americans really don't have a clue on clothes, I mean girls wearing things they really shouldnt have! Got to bed around 4am, and had to get up at 9:20 am, so this is why I am so tired. Hannah was mortal, it was hilarious. She called in sick, but I dont think she had drank enough at work and had been outside all day, silly girl. But anyway, I wasnt too drunk, so wasn't really hungover, had my porridge at work and had 3 cups of tea during the day, so it helped. So the best bit of today was I was talking to the techy guy at Nemo, and was asking if we could have a backstage tour, and he was like sure,I can set that up. However it was myself and Laura closing and he gave us a tour then, it was awesome!!! Best close ever, just chilling out on the stage and stuff! It was mint!
Was going to go to House of Blues (HOB) tonight, as its like standard on a Sunday, but didn't as Im really tired and Hannahs rough so we watched a film and got a pizza, yum. We are going out tomorrow night instead so don't worry.
Tomorrow day, I think I am going to go to Animal Kingdom Lodge to chill by the pool and Cast Connections to get some bargains.

Rules Rules Rules
Oh hi there,
I've decided that what I dislike about this place are the rules, I know 'rules are there for a reason' etc, however, in the housing, I am paying rent, $88 a week, and I would like to be able to have whoever I want in my flat, until whenever I want. I mean this isn't really a big deal for me, as I'm not bringing boys back or whatever, but anyone who doesn't live in Chatham cannot be here past 1am, it should be more like uni, where they treat you like an adult.
Also yesterday in work, I clocked in 15 minutes early, which is like a grace period, you do not get paid for, I don't even know why you can clock in, so I clocked in then got changed, so was all ready within 5 minutes of clocking in, THEN I got told off, because youre supposed to be ready when you clock in, even though Its really MY 15 minutes. This stole my happy mood and made me annoyed. Urgh. It is reallly hot at the moment, I have never sweated whilst working like I sweat here, especially during parade where there is no shade, its horrific!
I got a lift home from work, which saved me waiting half an hour for the bus, I finished at 7 and was home by 7:21, if I had got the bus, it would have been 8:30 at the earliest. I chilled with the flat girls for a bit then went upstairs/nextdoor to some guys apartment that I know, and we just watched TV for a bit, firstly it was nice to watch TV, secondly I was nice to be around straight males, it makes a change from all the bitchy gay guys I have met, don't get me wrong there are lots of lovely gay guys here as well, but there are a few that are just as bitchy as any of the girls. I felt like I was in halls or something again, their apartment is homely, well as homely as boys will ever make it.
So thats about it, I have a lack of photos, I think because I have been tagged in loads and I keep forgetting to take any on nights out.
I think I'm going out tonight and tomorrow night, and I have work until 7:15 tonight and 8:15 tomorrow, so that will be fun!
Also the other things that has really pissed me off, we got an email saying theres been a change to our visa requirements and we now have to partake in 2 cultural events a month, so like a housing event (like grocery bingo or voluntEaring) or go out with some different culuture to something like a museum, I'm like WTF!!! So on our day off we have to do something else, I don't even see how they can check, apparently if you go to a housing event they scan your ID, I mean fair enough theres some events I do want to go to, but we only have July and a bit of August, they can't expect us to do two events in August, I leave here on the 17th!!

Happy days
Oh hi there,
I hadn't realised my last post hadn't posted, I think it was meant for Tuesday! Woops!
Today is Friday, and once again I'm waiting for the bus, this is where I do most of my blogging.
I'm on day 4/6 however it's gone pretty quickly, we have been soooo busy, yesterday we were 5000 over he expected, and you can feel it web the parks busy!
No new drama, I got a bite at work and it's classed as a work place injury and it swelled up really big, so my coordinator and manager had to look at it then they said I could go to the health place for cast but it's at Epcot and I would have had to get the bus there, however since I'm not allowed to over react at home, and I'm not American I was like its fine I will just see how it goes. If I was American I would probably be in hospital on a drip, they love over reacting.
Yesterday I decided to get a bus that would get me in 9 mins early, but it was 2 mins late so I had to walk/ run as we cant run in front of guests, and I made it, clocked in at 29 past! I am a bit worried I may have a repeat today as the bus isn't here and I have to get changed when I get in but I don't start until 10:45 today so I have 25 mins when I arrive, of the bus arrives!
Erm nothing else really, me and Nicola got hit on at a ATM at the mall, that's a new one! Creeeeeepy, all such creeper here! Also so many times people have assumed because we are British we smoke stuff, we are like no thanks, ew!

I potentially am going out Saturday Sunday Monday, but working Sunday as well! Only live once and all that.
Last night went to down town Disney for food, went to wolf gang puck, teas lovely!
Hope it's sunny on my days off!

Oh hi there,
Yesterday I didn't start work until 12:45, despite going in with Hannah and Nicola and they were going to play in DAK it was quite a good day, it was a short shift, 6 hours 15 mins. I got the girls VIP for the 1pm show. We were so so busy at every show because Everest was down so there wasn't a lot to guests to do at animal kingdom.. It got to the point where we were turning people away and I had one woman asking if this one child could come in, he was crying his eyes out but there was nothing I could do, we were full. People were standing and stuff.
I then had parade and surprisingly it wasn't cancelled and I had ropes, which meant following the parade at the end of it! So I felt like part of it. And I was away from nemo for 2 hours. Sometimes I'm amazed at the way everything goes so smoothly with Disney, when we are walking with the rope, either side cast members are clearing ropes so paths are clear and guests can follow behind.
After work I went to meet the girls at Epcot and we had a wander and watched the fire works. The guest buses are so quick I was with them within 40 mins of finishing work. The cast bus back from Epcot is every 15 mins and takes 15 mins to get backc amazing, compared to DAK, where you finish and don't get home for hours!
I'm working 11-7 today. Hopefully parade will be on.
I had requested time off for when angel is here, however it's been rejected as you have to request 3 weeks in advance, I don't think I've even been working for 3 weeks. Oh well I will have to try and shift swap or something.

Productive day
Oh hi there,
So I woke up on Monday morning, well got woken up by my roommate who just I don't think she thinks about me, I don't know how such a small person makes so much noise! So that was like 8:30 am which was exactly what I wanted when I got to bed about 4am, maybe that's why she's being noisy! However she did it again this morning, no excuses. I miss my flat!
So anyway I made an omelette, eggs are cheap here! Then spoke to angel to try and sort out which days to request off, he arrives on the 11th so I've requested 12th and 13th and to swap my normal days off which are Monday and Tuesday's, but I don't know how likely it is that I will get any of my requests. I will try and give away shifts, as I need to make the most of seeing him and having a car!!!
So after that I did some washing, needed clean underwear, I lost a sock somewhere along the line! I then went to the commons to pick up my complimentary passes for friends an family, just as well that I did because they had my home home address on and they wouldn't be much good there.
So then by this point I decided I had to go to a park, so me, Nicola and any went to Hollywood studios, did the backlot tour, Indiana jones, little mermaid ( LOVED that ) tower of terror and rocking roller coaster. Not bad considering we didnt go until 4pm! Really wanted to see beauty and the beast however it was full, plenty of time left.
So now I'm waiting for the bus to work for day one of 6 and the bus for Florida mall just went passed, argh!

Sleeping in a hurricane
Oh hi there,
Well not a lot to say really I'm on my second day off, but stuck inside again as it is sideways raining. Apparently there is a storm coming through, so we are getting tornado warnings, someone has been killed by a tornado, not at Disney but http://www.ibtimes.com/articles/355795/20120624/tropical-storm-debby-tornado-florida-kills-woman.htm thats the link if you want to read more.
Yesterday I was pissed off, as the toilet flooded, I had to clean it all up, my roommate didn't understand when I asked her to get a mop so I scrubbed it all up. Then I got blamed for leaving the tea kettle on the hob and its all burned out, when I had been out allllll day, then eaten out, so I was like wtf, I cannot even have a cup of tea now! So I skyped Tommy then went shopping to make myself feel better. I ended up spending quite a lot in AE, but it was all sale so that's fine!
The previous night, after work we went to Dollar Tree, which is like pound land, omg it was amazing, apart from the one thing I wanted, a pack of cards, they didn't have, they had tarot cards, bible cards, magic trick cards, but no normal cards! We then went to CiCi's pizza, which for $5 was unlimited pizza, drinks, salads and pudding, theres no wonder they have an obesity problem.
Last night, went to HOB (house of blues) which is at Down Town Disney, and it was as good as ever, standard creepy guys. I have never been anywhere that the men are so pervy, I mean it may be that the Americans are out in flat shoes and peddle pushers (seriously who wears them!?1? Where can you even buy them?!) and I'm there in my high heels and LBD, but you can take the girl out of Newcastle but you can't take the Newcastle out of the girl.
So we got a cab back because we were not hanging around for the bus, made friends with the drivers, Mo, legend, he took us to McDonalds, I didn't get any food, as Macys just don't do it for me, I was quite proud of myself and then brought us back and charged us hardly anything and gave us his card so we can request him. Legend.
And that's about it, IMO currently sitting inside watching the rain :( I'm working 6 days in a row, not happy about this, of course I'm working over 4th of July, as are most people but if the weather stays like this then I'm not bothered and I guess I can go shopping with the money!

Same same
Oh hi there,
I haven't written for a couple of days as I have just been at work and have not been up to much.
Yesterday was a long day as I had my social security meeting which meant getting up at 5am to leave from the Commons at 6, we were there by 6:30 and they opened up especially for the Disney lot. We were told not to talk to anyone outside as they would be pissed off that we got special access. We went on the first bus which was good as it meant we were back at Chatham by 8:20! So went back to bed for an hour and a half before work.
Got to work, went to clock on and in at 12 and it was telling me I wasn't supposed to be there until 1:15, but all my schedules said 12, so they sorted it out and I started at 12 but then all my breaks were messed up. I also did house centre, the dreaded position, got through it, just! Still dread that one. I'm only here like 8 more weeks don't see why I can't just avoid it!
We went to go to Hooters last night, though we would get a taxi as its at the end of our street, there's just a massive road in between, well the taxi driver took us to the complete wrong place, so we just got out at the cross roads and went to TGI Fridays, which was really nice as well. We will get to Hooters one day!
That's about it. I'm off after today for the next two days, don't know what I will do, I will see who's off.

Character breakfast
Oh hi there,
I'm writing about today and it's only 10:43 but that's because the most exciting part of my day has already happened.
Despite being really tired, I made myself get up and be at vista for 9 am,for free breakfast and meet with Minnie and Mickey, it's a PJ party. Though I didn't wear my PJs. So breakfast was good, pancakes, French toast, free juice etc. We didn't meet mickey and Minnie as the queue was so so long so we chilled at the DJ area and entered the hulla hoop contest I reckon I came about 3rd! We also won some cool Disney internships sunnies, awesome!
It was actually really cool, I'm not sure if it's because we work for Disney so everyone is super enthusiastic but if uni put on an event at 9am with free food nobody would go, but it was so busy and we were all dancing and stuff. I'm glad I went!
Now I'm off to work :( I feel like I've forgotten everything, im supposed to be doing parade as well, but I reckon itl rain so will probably be rained off.
Im going to have an early night tonight, I won't get back until about 8 then will probably just sleep!
Looking forward to Friday; going to go to hooters and get beer and wings! Then Sunday will hit house of blues again :) so only 4 days of work!

Totally forgot to mention the fact on the first parade I did, im just standing there then a bird pooed right on my shoulder! I was like OMG but there were guests around so I had to be like oh it's funny, so I went to the bathroom and cleaned it off, bloody hell, joys of working in a jungle! Luckily I had my hair up so it didn't go in my hair!

Two days off
Oh hi there,
Woooo I had two days off! I soooo needed them, I finished work at 7 on Sunday, though I thought I finished at 6 so was mentally prepared then realised I finished at 7, that was not good! The nemo girls gave me a ride home, this is awesome them living next to me and having a car, woo! So then I spoke to Kirsty and she said she was heading to the House of Blues, so even though my hair was greasy I had like an hour to get ready and go. I went to Vista for predrinks, Vista is very different to here, its no where near as nice. But it was nice to see everyone.
House Of Blue, well getting in was like a airport security check! You got IDed and got a wrist band before you'd got anywhere close to the entrance, then you got IDed again to check you were defs over 21, then you got IDed again with your Disney ID, so you got in free, then you got bag searched and body searched!!! So once in, it was packed, so so busy, but really cool. The guys here are very forward and very touchy feely, like as soon as I walked in this guy was offering my drinks, another was grabbing my hand, etc etc, but hey if they have open bar tabs, so got some free drinks, then ran away. But awesome night. We then went back to this flat, opposite chatham, its called like Discovery Palms or something, for an after party, but it was a bit weird, it was like a bachelor pad, I think 3 guys lived there, I had a right snoop around. Anyway so we played a bit of drinking jenga, which every block had something written on it that you had to do, which nobody did because it was creepy and we wern't that drunk!
So I went to bed around 5am, got up at 10, because I wanted to sunbathe, just went to Chatham pool, which is lush, and chilled, saw a few different people throughout the day. Then later on went to Publix to get some drink, and then got ready. I also had a nap because I felt very rough!!
It was me, Nicola, Hannah and their 2 french room mates, who are nice, we played ring of fire, I had to ask the guys in my block for some playing cards because we dont have any, they are an essential item and we must invest!! But then Hannah decided she wasn't going to come out because she had work the next day, like an 11 hour shift, so probably a good idea! But it was sad that she didn't come.
So we went to a bar called Falafel Lounge, which was cool, $1, but only got one drink then saw all the promoter guys, and they all recognised me from the previous night and wanted us to join them in their VIP bit, with a bottle of Grey Goose vodka, so that was good! Then they gave us a lift home, they alllll have very nice cars here, its redic! We went via Maccy D's and bought hannah some food to cheer her up and left her a note with it! So yes, another really good night!
This morning, I woke up at 10:45 ish and we decided to get the 11:15 bus to the Polynesian resort, oh my gosh, its amazing, has a private beach, its lush, soooo relaxing, so we chilled there, with the view of Cinderellas Castle, the wedding pavillion and the Grand Floridian hotel so a good few hours, then hopped on the boat and zoomed across to Magic Kingdom. Though we were both tired, it was really good, now I actually feel like I've been on some rides! We stayed for the parade and then headed home.
So thats pretty much my days off, Im still full of cold, but I dont think going out two nights is going to help, but time is going so fast I have to make the most of every bit of spare time!

Fully fledged Disney
Oh hi there,
So I have successfully earned my ears!!! Wooo, the assessment was basically another day of training, win a little test, which I had already seen and the I got a little certificate, and got to remove my 'earning my ears' pin.
Yesterday was my first day on my own, it was fine. I was supposed I have the house centre at the 3pm show, but swapped as that's the busiest show, on my first day, no thanks! I've started making friends with everyone at work, they all seem nice and there's already a new ICP from uk, so I'm not even the new kid!
Last night just chilled with the girls, can't remember if I said or not, the previous night I went to Epcot.
Despite being here for two weeks, I have only been on about 3 rides and I've not even been in a pool! If it's sunny when I finish work I will go in the pool, an after today I'm off for 2 days, Yey! Then I'm in for 4 days then of for 2 again, seems too good to be true!
I'm missing fresh food really badly, I just can't afford it! A bag of ten clementines, guess how much? $8!!! A bag of 5 apples $5!!! There's me thinking we were in the state fresh oranges!!??
I've decided I could not live here, too expensive and they work too hard..
And I never want to share a room again, I get on fine with my roomie, I just dont like living in other peoples mess!
9 weeks time and I will have finished work! That's crazy, 2 weeks has gone in a flash!
Will update with what I get up to on my days off!

Yesterday was my first day on my own, it was fine. I was supposed I have the house centre at the 3pm show, but swapped as that's the busiest show, on my first day, no thanks! I've started making friends with everyone at work, they all seem nice and there's already a new ICP from uk, so I'm not even the new kid!
Last night just chilled with the girls, can't remember if I said or not, the previous night I went to Epcot.
Despite being here for two weeks, I have only been on about 3 rides and I've not even been in a pool! If it's sunny when I finish work I will go in the pool, an after today I'm off for 2 days, Yey! Then I'm in for 4 days then of for 2 again, seems too good to be true!
I'm missing fresh food really badly, I just can't afford it! A bag of ten clementines, guess how much? $8!!! A bag of 5 apples $5!!! There's me thinking we were in the state fresh oranges!!??
I've decided I could not live here, too expensive and they work too hard..
And I never want to share a room again, I get on fine with my roomie, I just dont like living in other peoples mess!
9 weeks time and I will have finished work! That's crazy, 2 weeks has gone in a flash!
Will update with what I get up to on my days off!

Assessment day!
Oh hi there,
I didn't write anything last night, mainly because I didn't really have anything to write about. Had more training, more e learning. The excitement of the day was a huge huge storm, so when I was supposed to have parade training the parade was canceled and we all got wet! Luckily I had my rain gear in my bum bag!
I had my first go of being house centre, which is the worst position, it's the hardest! I mean I'm sure it will all come with time but right now it seems hard!
Tonight there's a cast appreciation event which called Kali Kool Down. When the ride closes ( rapids ) we all get to go on as many times as we like, and we get free ice cream! Then we are going to hit some theme parks, tonight and tomorrow. Its a bit annoying that we all work different days, so it's hard to plan a night out'.
Oh man it's not even 9am and it is hot out!
Last night I attempted laundry, I wasnt running out of underwear, as I brought heaps, I just felt I should do some, so I washed all my towels, even my costume, even though I've got 5 sets! You can pay on card which is cool, it should have taken two hours, for a wash and then dry, however mine took 3 as I put my clothes in the dryer, came back an hour later. Looked up at the one above and thought to myself, how odd it's on but got nothing in. Turns out I'd paid and then turned the wrong one on. So I was up until 11 waiting for my clothes.
I also have a cold, must just be freshers flu, new people, new environment! But I feel bad sitting on the bus spreading my germs!

This is a short one
Oh hi there,
I am currently in bed, I can here fireworks, not sure which park they are from, but just thought I'd throw that our there!
Today was another day of training, I start at 8:30, and finished at 5, I like this shift as our first show isnt until 11, so you have ages of just checking stuff. Then I was out in the sun for a couple of hours, wow it was hot hot hot. DAK is the hottest park of all, as the plants make it more humid and its supposed to feel like a jungle. Great news for my hair!

So I am going to have a killer tan, between my boots and shorts, and my arms. Apparently its like a Southern/Farmer tan! So I will look like a hillbilly yeeeehar!
Tomorrow I have training for one of the hardest postiions, but I'm sure with time they will all become normal and easy. I all have parade training which will be cool, as I think Hannah does as well :)
Tonight after work I came back (which takes about an hour from leaving to being in my apartment) if I had a car, it would be 10/15 mins!! Then Hannah and I walked to a steak house, had my first american steak this summer, wooo it was amazing, reallly seriously good! Cheaper than park food, well better value! So thats nice! The guys next door keep inviting me round to parties, but they are under 21 and yes I will be friends, but I really am just not risking being around under ages and alcohol, its not worth it!
Thats about all, so far Im enjoying work, training is good. My job is rare that we have a gap twice when we dont have shows, so we clean a little bit and just do whatever.

I also saw a massive grass hopper today, HUGE. I also met a weird guy at work, he was like 'omg youre from england, one of my favourite countries!!!' I was like 'Oh youve been?' He was like 'No but my favourite band is from there/' I was like who? Then he broke out into song, I was like omg cring we are not on Glee and I dislike the beetles. But sooo funny because Hannah was like, I met this weird guy, and turns out it was the same one! There are defs some strange folk here!

First Day
Oh hi there,
Today I had my first day of on the job training, and I'm pleased to say I think im going to enjoy this job, not sure if I could do it for a life time but 3 months will be perfect. I have two trainers at the moment as one of then is shadowing the main one, and I have an assessment on Friday, but if you get answers wrong its not like you fail, its more like you talk about the right answer.
So I got to watch the show, theres shows at 11,12,1,3,5,6 so thats nice so in the gap, between 1-3 once youve done a wee clean (which there isnt much as youre not allowed food/drinks inside the theatre) you can kind of chill, unless youre on your break! The show is awesome, its really good.
The people I'm working with, a lot of them have been there a long time, I dont think theres any other college programmers, maybe one girl. But they are all friendly, and switch between languages from English to Spanish, it makes me jel! Another good thing is, you can't work 12 hour shifts if you wanted to, as we are not open 12 hours. After the final show, if you are in until 9, youre just outside greeting people.
I am now logged onto the Hub so I can see when im working, pretty much every day until Monday and Tuesday off, so thats good, I wanna go out Sunday night! Im mostly doing 8 hour shifts, but some days I've got like 6 hours ish, so thats good. But I think we are short staffed so will probably be in a lot! But once Im not running around like a headless chicken, its actually really easy I think! Though theres a lot to remember.
Thats all really, I dont know what else to say, my boots were comfy. They were shocked that my old hair hadn't been acceptable and they said I would be fine to go blonde again. So thats good!

More dimes spent..
Oh hi there,
Firstly let me announce, it had not rained, yippeeeeeee!!! I woke up, was supposed to lie in, but seem to have forgotten how, hit the gym, then the pool to enjoy the sun. Great start to the day. Then Hannah and I went shoe shopping, now normally this would be a grand day out, however this was work shoes and dimes I did not want to spend.
I had to find 'brown polish able hiking boots'. Now I know the costumes are all part of the 'show' but I am in a theatre, why do I need hiking boots?!? I thought my costume may have been a bit more colourful, with it being Nemo, like tropical but hey ho, its not too bad! So I looked in a few shops in the mall then found Timberland, which was reccomended, and they had lots of boots, the classic Timberland ones were like $90, but I think they are more tan leather, not that I wanted those ones. There were a cheaper pair but they had blue on and I didn't want to risk buying them, wearing them one day, them not being right, and not being able to return them!! Sooo in the end I found a pair for $80, but then got 20% for working for Disney so it came to around $63. Not $63 I wanted to spend on hiking boots, urgh. Oh well, no use complaining, I knew there would be costs and maybe one day I will use them again. Or I will stick them on Ebay!
Hannah got a pair of Sketchers for $30 but she only needed black trainers. We then came back, I put my boots on and walked around the flat and decided they were not comfortable, so I RAN back to the mall, in 35 mins from leaving my door I had swapped the shoes over for a bigger size, but geeez I was sweaty. Note to self, do not run in midday sun in Florida!
We then went to Hollywood Studios, went on Great Movie Ride, the host wasnt as good as I'd hoped, then Rocking Rollercoaster, amazing as always, then got some snacks, then met Nicola and some others and went on the Muppets 3D show, I still dont get the muppets really, they are annoying. Then watched Fantasmic. So a really nice day. I feel like the holiday is over now as I am working for the next 4 days, possibly more as I cant get logged onto the Hub yet to see. Im really quite nervous for tomorrow. I have so many questions to ask, but im sure they will have done it a million times before!
I start at 10am, but Im going to arrive for 9:15 as the other bus was 9:45 and I don't want to risk it, being late on the first day would not be a good start!
My alarm is set. Wish me luck!

First night out. VIP style.
Oh hi there,
I will start from where I left off, saying that I don't remember where I left off, so I will start with last night. So after getting back from DAKlamations, I just chilled, washed my hair and I even had a nap! I do not like napping, and it was only half an hour, but when you are here, you just never stop and I wanted energy for the night out. I then took my wine and went across to Nicola and Hannahs apartment, its literally across the street, I can see it from my window! We had a drink and I'd hooked us up with the party bus! The guys from above me wanted to predrink and whatever, but they are under 21 and its really not worth the risk, so Im literally not making friends with the littleins, they are all American so it must be normal for then but I do feel sorry for the ICPers that are under 21!
At 11:20 we headed for the bus, which I broke the seal before we left, and when I got on the bus I thought there was a toilet, soon found out it was out of order so by the time we picked everyone up I reckon it must have been a hour before we got there, I was nearly wetting myself!!!! It was $10 for the bus there and back and the club entry, really not bad.
We got in the club and this woman was like 'Hey are you girls over 21? do you girls want free drinks and VIP?' Obviously there is only one answer to this. So she took us to this area that was just VIP, overlooking the club, they brought over a bottle of vodka, like a full litre, and good vodka too, and loads of ice, whatever mixers we wanted. THEN they brought shots, THEN the general manager came over and introduces himself and hes like 'whatever you girls want you can have on us'. It was too good to be true, like all shots, any alcohol, just AMAZING! I felt like at the end we would get a HUGE bill, but we didn't! It was just such a good night. They said we could come back any time and get the same treatment, awesome!!!
Then we got the bus back, Nicola was sick, lols then when we got back to Chatham Nicola was being sick in the bushes outside, security came over... One IDed her, and the other was like 'do you need me to call the police?' but Nicola is over 21, so they asked her questions like her room number, her DOB and then decided she was coherent and sent us on our way. But it really put it into perspective how strict they are! I mean if she was under 21 we'd all be on a flight home right now! I also reckon if she'd not been able to answer the questions they would have called an ambulance or something, they are crazy!
SO that was that, awesome awesome night, put Nicola to bed, her french room mate wasnt happy when we switched the light on, but its like sorry youre sharing a room get used to it! I came back to bed, passed out, didnt even hear Carrie getting ready this morning. Then got up and Hannah and I went for a nice chill at Typhoon Lagoon as we were a bit fragile it was an amazing cure, all for free, just fab, we were sitting there and we were like just saying we are so happy and content! - Though that will probably change when we starting work!
We then came back and showered etc, made reservations for a place in Hollywood Studios, got there, went on Tower Of Terror, which as always was awesome and then we started to find the restaurant, but the heavens opened, it had been soooo lovely all day, reallly sunny, then this massive storm hit, and 3 of the girls didnt have rain gear, so we went to the nearest place to eat, so wasnt the night we had planned but still nice night. I was even cold in the rain, shock horror! Cold in Florida, say whaaaaat!!
Tomorrow me and Hannah are off still, so morning is going to be the mall, I will be buying my stupid hiking boots, and we will do some washing. - Not sure how that will go as Hannah thought that the washing tablet we got free were just nice smellly things for your drawers, this made me cry with laughing. Sillly. Then we will spend the afternoon in the parks.
Literally do not stop! Though having a lie in as it may be the last for a while! I keep writting this before I go to bed so im so sleepy and will probably forget stuff!
